Let it flow!

Our lives are becoming more stressful by the day with increased responsibilities and expectations placed on us. Our days are punctuated by constant interaction not only with the external world; our colleagues, managers, families and friends, but also with activities and social media.

In this fast paced, modern life it is more important than ever to stop from time to time and to carve out a moment to truly take care of ourselves, but above all to connect with ourselves.

Yoga adds years to your life and life to your years

Yoga is the right answer to this valuable “me” break as its practice holistically nurtures our body, our mind and our spirit.

Yoga is best known in the western world for its physical postures, which promote flexibility and help reduce stress. While this is correct, yoga is much more; its purpose is to help each one of us achieve our highest potential and to experience enduring health and happiness.

Yoga is a scientific system of physical and mental practices that originated in India more than 5000 years ago  with associated benefits that have been proven by modern science.

Yoga will transform your life!

I received my teachings from the Sivananda Vedanta lineage and strictly follow its wisdom in applying the following 5 yoga principles.

You will not only discover and build your understanding of traditional Hatha Yoga postures during this introductory program, but also learn more about these life principles and how to incorporate them into your daily routine for a more balanced and peaceful life.

Proper exercise designed to develop the body, mind and spirit. The postures (Asanas) stretch the entire body, toning the muscles, joints, spine and skeletal system. The internal organs, glands and nerves are also greatly benefitted, resulting in overall radiant health.

Yoga teaches us to control the breath in order to enhance vitality and mental clarity via increasing oxygen intake. This calms and clears the mind and increases our life energy for an increased experience of well-being and peace of mind.

Yoga emphasizes the importance of proper relaxation as a way to regulate our energy and create a sense of balance, which enhances our physical and mental health. By learning to relax every muscle in the body, we can rejuvenate the nervous system and attain a deep sense of inner peace.

Eating simple and healthy foods that are easy to digest has a positive effect not only on the body but also on the mind. Seasonal and local fruits and vegetables, grains, nuts, seeds and legumes optimize physical and mental health and foster harmony with the world around us.

Every thought we have has a vibration that impacts us personally and the world around us. Meditation calms the mind, nurtures positive thinking and ultimately allows us to experience a peaceful and joyful life.

"Simone’s introduction to yoga course was excellent and quickly became the highlight of my week. She beautifully combined demonstrating the postures with deeper explanations of the yogic philosophy and her personal journey as inspiration. Her passion for the yogic lifestyle was clearly evident as she integrated teachings about areas like nutrition, mindfulness and breathing.  Simone’s teaching style is compassionate and encouraging,  paying close attention to each student to adjust a posture or offer alternatives where needed. The course has given me the confidence to practice the postures on my own but has also inspired a broader view of wellness that I’m incorporating into my life now."

"I had the privilege and pleasure of attending Simone's “Introduction To Yoga: 12 Essential Postures" that came under the form of an hour and half evening once a week for 5 consecutive weeks.

By the 5th course day I was looking forward to attend while being sad it came to an end. One can feel Simone is committed and dedicated to Yoga, its practice and the teaching which makes a rare combination to the supreme enjoyment of the pupils.

If you need to find out what Hatha Yoga is about, don't hesitate to call her and book a course."
