As you all know, I organize well-being workshops in Geneva which I named Zen for Monday. I launched these in September of this year and as I’m still in the starting phase, I thought I’d tell you a bit more about them. It is more than just a class. It’s a personal development workshop. Want to learn more? Keep on reading.
Let’s get back to when I started. A few years ago, I made a 180-degree turn from a life that was rather monotonous and gray, to one rich in color, emotion and experience. This new life was only possible thanks to a magical combination of yoga, meditation and coaching.
This three discipline TOGETHER allowed me to silence my mind, limit my non-supporting beliefs and fears, and align my vital energy. Removing the energy nodes in my physical body and going inside to let my mind wander was also a major part of it all. I listened to my faint inner voice that in actuality was my soul expressing itself and guiding me on MY path, the one that is right for me, the one I choose, the one that makes me happy.
And as these three disciplines worked up what I would call a miracle for me, I tried understanding them fully so that I, in turn, could accompany you on the path to your own inner voice success.
You do not believe in miracles? I see, but I am not talking here about a miracle that falls from the sky or that we create with a magic wand. I mean a miracle of Pablo Picasso proportions. He describes it to us as follows: “all that you can imagine is real”.
There is definitively a stress on the “you” in this sentence, as everything starts and ends because of you and by your own will. I am saying that because I believe that we have become a bit used to waiting for the outside world to bring us what we need in our modern times.
I’m sick, so I go to the doctor for treatment. I sleep badly, so I take the sleeping pill that can help me. I feel lonely, so I have to find a partner or a dog that will entertain me. I am not professionally recognized, so I have to change my employer. My daily life bores me, so I am going to have some shots. And so on, and so on …
What I try to install in you every Sunday morning is very simple. I offer you a path to your true nature, somewhere you can go without a magic wand and only by engaging with the tools inspired by the oldest philosophies of life and modern methods of personal development. We talk a little, we do a bit of yoga, engage in small meditations, but most of all we take care of ourselves with love and affection.
Every Sunday workshop carries a different theme. All of them revolve around your physical, mental and spiritual well-being. To put it in a more concrete manner, once we experience some breathing exercises aiming at creating peace of mind, another we try out the daily healthy routines that Ayurveda recommends to us, or we talk about our limiting beliefs, and then jump into being a Zen parent on a daily basis. Mind you, those are just a few examples of topics we have done in the past.
I hope you understand that by offering those weekly workshops I want to encourage you to take your health and your well-being at hand, so that you can start stepping towards your true Self more and more as you progress.
If you want to know the theme of each week, follow me on my Every Body & Co Facebook page and check in every Wednesday so you can make sure of the subject that I pre-announce for Zen for Monday.
Zen for Monday is Zen for Life.
With love.
